Can I ask you a personal question ? Do you like to screw things up in SH5 even more the stock because you have a lack of talent to do something realy good and useful ?

Whoa, whoa, whoa! Someone woke up feeling feisty...
Modding is about creating options so that players can create a game that suits their personal tastes. Just because what Lorka created isn't your thing doesn't mean that you get to jump all over him.
We should be encouraging and applauding all those who wade into the modding waters. They're brave lads (And I should add, the main people who continue to advance SH5 further and further).
Thanks for throwing your mod out there Lorka, it's appreciated by many, and I'm sure it's fun to have blazing fast torps. :salute:

Indietro 03-15-10 02:07 AM

This mod as his another "Improved VIIa sub" is for total shootemup noobs that has nothing to do with simulation itself. To the moding like this take few seconds just to replace some value numbers and that's it. Lame noob moding sux, you heard my opinion now do whatever you like.

CCIP 03-15-10 02:08 AM

Yeah, that's not a fair thing to ask. People may feel free to modify the game as they like - not everyone requires realism, and there's certainly different ways of playing the game. Whatever floats the boat you know.

Although I might add that the label "Improved" may be a little misleading :88)

Indietro: seriously, don't be too harsh on this. The kind of "noobs!" attitude isn't good for anyone and is kind of demeaning. Please don't go off on other members like this, it's not an attitude that goes along with how Subsim works.
And let's be honest, most other mods also come down to "go here, tweak this value" - the difference is only in research/concept.

Indietro 03-15-10 02:19 AM

No hard feelings move along, as anyone of you may find this mod usefull feel free to applause the author. IMO mods like this is just silly and I'm posting my mind accordingly. The guy probably lost in translation for the word "Improved" where it's actually broken.

lorka42, thanks.

To the modder.

Please refrain from the term "improved"

That signifies "more accurate" Which at this stage of the game of this sim, the modders and most players are trying to achieve.

It is fine if you want to make "super ships, or torpedoes" but please don't use "improved" It makes us think "oh cool, this could be an improved sub, with more realistic performance."

FuddCS 03-15-10 12:39 PM

Agreed, it's silly

BUT NOBODY FORCED YOU TO DOWNLOAD IT

If it floats their boat, then by all means....go ahead and use super torps

I personally won't, but where's the harm in releasing such a mod?

will do, heh but, technically, it is improved, lol although improved is a bit of an understatement.

pythos 03-15-10 01:06 PM

FuddCS. I am not against the mod. I am all for fun. Hell I hope someone can Mod in a playable Jules Verne Nautilus in the future. However I just am advising against the term "improved"

CrocodileDundee 03-15-10 01:25 PM

C'mon guys, give him/her a break. We're all enthusiastic here about modding/changing the game to be more fun. Some want a tomahawk launch capable type VII boat - fine with me. I might even play half an hour with it when I get bored with the orriginal game. C'mon, chill, must I remind you it IS A VIDEOGAME. It aint the real world, it's fantasy. So it might as well have flying uboats. ;)
