Convoy spawning
Is there any way to increase the spawning of convoys ect ?
It seems every time I leave a zone its swarming with enemy ships and when I return there's nothing. A tweak perhaps to increase slightly the spawning chances would be great or is this hard coded ? Ringy. |
Ya, noticed that. I sail around for days trying to find even a lone merchant, then when I've finally used up all my torps and heading home...
There's convoy after convoy....:shifty: |
Convoys are actually set to spawn around correct dates
Providing I am reading the files correct In SH3 and 4 the spawn rates were by minutes controlled from each convoy GroupName=HX42Convoy ( GWX3 RND ) Category=0 CommandEntry=40 Long=-8866764.000000 Lat=4855298.000000 Height=0.000000 DelayMin=60 DelayMinInterv=7200 < divided by 60 divided by 24 = 5 days ( in reality a lil too often In SH5 I cant find anything like that on the files but in the covoy.mis ( C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\data\Campaigns\CampaignProjects\Total_Germany ) [LanesGraph.Node 21.NodeGroup 1] Type=HX_ Name=HX Country=British Speed=9.000000 StartDate=19380101 EndDate=19451231 ReportPosTime=2170 ReportPosProbability=60 [LanesGraph.Node 21.NodeGroup 1.NGMission 1] Name=Liverpool ObjectiveType=0 TargetNode=Liverpool PathNodes= UsePath=false CooldownMonths=0 CooldownDays=8.000000 < A guess but think this is time elapsed between convoys CooldownHours=1 Priority=0 RewardPoints=0 StartDate=19390916 EndDate=19451231 A quick look at the HX series on http://www.convoyweb.org.uk/hx/index.html gives approx 8 day sailings between convoys What you may want to look at is the report info ReportPosTime=2170 < 36 hours between reports ReportPosProbability=60 < % chance of a map report Am near totally convinced the cooldown days are what controls the gap between sailings |
