Speed setting woes

I just noticed that if you are running on standard propulsion (i.e. not recharging batteries) you can't set your speed with the advanced speed dial.

I mean, you can, but not all speeds work. For example, I ordered the boat to go 8 knots and went to do other things for 10 minutes or so. When I came back and checked, the speed had stopped at 10 knots, so I clicked 8 again; nothing.

I had to switch to recharging batteries for the speed to go to 8 knots.

How do you switch recharging batteries on and off?

I'm using CCIP's command key mod which has it as R.

Have you "leveled up" sub speed on your diesel dude? I think it applies the bonus you get from him to the speed you set.

Edit: Whoa.. my new avatar looks like he's in the village people navy!
