Who's completed the invasion of Norway?
 

Anyone succesfully complete this operation?

I was chilling out in the passage leading to Narvik on April 9th waiting for the invasion to begin.. thinking i would see all sorts of activity passing in front of me. Nothing. Sank a bunch of lone merchants, but that was about it. Never saw the british flieet sent there.

I've been sitting there for almost a week now. Finally, a german merchant came down the passage heading away from narvik. So i looked at the map and saw the port had changed from neutral to friendly. eh? I thought there were supposed to be some realistic battles this time around.

So now i've got a few weeks to find a battleship in norwegian waters to complete this objective. Anyone have any ideas of where to look?

In early april I got a mark on the navigation map that a task force would sail from scapa flow to narvik on the 8 of april. It was the Queen Elizabeth. I sunk her but she didnt count as a battleship in the mission objectives (got the tonnage though) :hmmm:

Yeah i saw that as well. I was alreay near narvik. And they never arrived from what i could tell.

Where did you spot her?

p.s. I've already sunk TWO Queen Elizabeth's ealier in the campaign. I have a feeling HMS Warspite (the one that actually went to Narvik in RL) was one of them. I sunk both in Scapa Flow when i was clowning around.

I spotted her just inside the circle that indicates where you have to shink the other 5 ships. By then it was the 9 of april.

Sank a British BB west of Narvik. also a hand full of merchants.

thats about it.

I couldn't finish it. Only 3 merchants found it's way there and no warships what so ever. I had the same problem with that other mission, German blockade.

I actually just completed it earlier tonight. Found the BB Sout West of Narvik. Not to far off shore. Had escort of 8 Destroyers. Got the 5 ships just zig zagging in the gap between the peninsula and the mainland sailing in the target zone. Any 5 ships covers the requirement. Good Hunting

I never manage to sink a single ship on that mission. But my guess is that i was to late for it. I had only a month to do it before the time limit kicked in and by that time the invasion was over.
But its kinda stupid to have that time limit set to 1 juni. It should end when the invasion is over.

For 30 days of patrol i just spotted 2 germany merchants in the area.

I got the 5 ships... just cant find a battleship to finish it.

It's mid May now. Time is running out.

Lucky I ran into a huge convoy...
 

gave 10 ships a single torp each , then hung around unitl the escorts and other ships buggered off and then surfaced and finished off the four that had remained afloat. But trying to find that BB..I've been up and down that coast like a Norwegian Troll on amphetamines.......:damn:

so lame there isnt any german task forces or battles like there were in RL. Nothing that modders cant do tho! Im def waiting for the mods! :):rock:

Did you sink it within the hashed circle? It worked for me.

The devs said that named battleships being sunk are remembered by the campaign and won't be seen again, so perhaps this is why the TF has not appeared?

I found the QE TF shortly after sailing into the hashed area and sunk her (just three torpedoes no less :)), worked for me as well.
