NVidia driver rollback

Nvidia is asking folks to rollback from the last driver release due to massive overheating reports and fried GPU's. See the site... Impacted driver end in .176

nvidea video driver problems

Now somebody tells us!

I have played SH4/U-Boat missions from Dec 7 all the way to the end of the war with 90% of the video features on and never had a crash. Finished my career, played quick missions and war patrols and never had a crash or any problem.
Trouble started after I downloaded the latest video driver from Nvidea. While playing SH4 I suddenly started to have "sorry SH4 must close due to unknown problems". I sent the error reports to MS. Never got any answer. Then I started to get B.S.O.D.s and windows would recover from a serious problem.
No other application or game would crash my system. Just SH4. After much hair-pulling, debugging and unistalling/reinstalling of SH4 I decided to roll-back my video driver. Lo and Behold the trouble went away. No more system crashes. :damn:
Proof that new isn't always better:doh:

And that my friend is why I use a outside program for my fans.

Again or is the same driver. They had same issue months ago.

Hmm... could this be Nvidias way of saying "get a new GPU, we need more money.":hmmm:

I believe that issue was resolved weeks ago. New driver is out since finding the fan issue with that driver.
