Can't lower periscope

I have a little problem: I am unable to lower my observation periscope. My attack periscope seems to be working fine, so what is going on?

So how come I can lower the other one while using it? :06:

You can lower the Attack Scope back into it's cowling while you're using it. That's the one half way up to the bridge.

The Observation Scope in the command room however is so long it cannot be fully lowered without going into the floor, meaning you need to not using it for it to be able to lower completely.

So really, the answer is, stop looking through it, or use the Attack scope. :)

It's quite a matter of Physics... Imagine you're a real person on a real sub. Now imagine you're in the control room, and raise the periscope. You take a look through the optics, and when you're done, you want the periscope down into its housing again, but WITHOUT taking your eye off the periscope. Would you really be able to keep looking or stand properly? :rotfl2:

As for the attack periscope, since it is a static optics plataform (per real design), you raise/lower the tube, but not the plataform. It spins with you, but it doesn't go up or down, neither do you, it's always in the same vertical position. That's why it can go down while looking through it. :DL

Cheers
