:nope:

Like a red rag to a bull this idiotic DRM. Probably this time it's just desperate gamers trying to log in and complain.
|
They sure do get attacked a whole lot. Seems kinda like maybe there might be a reason for that. I know they are pretty stupid at UBI.... But can't be that stupid.. But then again they are the ones that came up with the IDea for Permanent online connection with a single player game.
|
Their forums are down too maybe some of the unhappy customers threads will be lost in this attack? :hmmm:
|
Nahhh their not the only ones. FSX needs the same online connection or it doesn't run in anything but demo mode.
But it's the hackers and pirates that are to blame for this sort of thing, not software companies. If not for piracy, none of the security measures we see today would be nessicary. I still remember when games had none of this, but then came the theives, and then came disk in drive to play, then starforce and the like anti-priacy software. Then the theives got around that so now it's online verification. |
Ubisoft corporate lexicon, lesson one.
Ubispeak - "Hackers are attacking our servers!!" English - "People are trying to log on to our servers to play their games!!" |

Like windows does. UBI's OSP need 24/7 365 connection. I've been playing games for over 25 years and since the early 90's games have had some form of protection, earliest examples i can remember where:- Enter word 6, line 25 of page 7 from game manual. Thinks have sure got worse now. The internet has made it so easy to obtain pirated software. I dont like this DRM (OSP). but companies have a right to protect their software. Same as you have the right not to buy their software. |
Cannot login
Just tryed to login on the game at unisoft but will not except my name or password so no game
ps check it very carefully the third time, tied unisoft website cannot leave a message .:damn::damn: |

And then it won't be able to find the server to activate. And then you get to call and activate it over the phone. |
This just keeps getting better.
I dont buy the angle of UBI just trying to deflect blame. I do believe they are under some kind of stress attack. This will continue for some time till either the hackers get tired of their game or UBI does something a little more robust. |

I was willing to give Ubi the benefit of the doubt until I at least installed SH5 and played it....
I just did install it, it downloaded and applied the patch, but then the auto launcher tells me that my username and password are not recognised :damn: WTF  And Ubi have the gall to say the crackers are pirates. There's ony one company here that has taken money under false pretences...Yes Ubi, that's you :arrgh!: At least let me play the game I have paid for. |
