the crack will let you get into the game, but will prevent you from progressing past the tutorial mission. There are threads all over the shop about it.

My advice - buy the damn game and play the arse off it. It's not all there yet but it's still a damn good game, and we all know it'll be even better once the community is done crawling all voer it.

recommend a mod locks this thread soonish.

just curious... how are you so sure that it is lies? I had purchased SH5 from gamestop but can't help wishing that it is cracked in order to get this DRM cr*p removed!!!

You can do patrols with the cracked exe but you can't do any missions.

The first thing I did after buying the game was try to use the crack so I could play offline. :(

honestly, I'm pretty sure a lot of us (myself included) have our judgement clouded by how completely ridiculously awesome the community/mod support has been for this game series.

If you compare SHIV with RFB/Trigger Maru/Whatever to 'brand new unpatched out of the box SHV' - of course it's not going to stand up that well.

But if you look at the new things the devs have given our community to play with... I sense GREAT THINGS on the horizon for this game.

Just can't wait for them to happen.

My advice is to wait untill Ubi gets their act together. DRM still needs some tender loving care to work. That is the kind of crap you don't want to exeperience on a sunday meant for nautical warfare.
