Auto-update button in conning tower
 

When going around the sub in 3D, going up in the conning tower lets you see below the "Zielrichtung" a button than can be clicked, with a green/red light below and it says "Auto Update"

What does it do exactly ?

does it mean I can lock a target, calculate range, AoB and speed and then it updates the values ?
