Changing Your U Boat
 

HI there. after a few missions I was told that I was going to be given command of a new Type 7 C boat and I had enough remown to buy new camoflage and a new conning tower BUT ...

I select the new paint job and new tower thinking that when I now go on patrol It will be upgraded and I will be in my new boat.... but it didnt happen.

Anyone else had this? lol what do I have to do in order to get the new sub, conning tower and paint work? any advice would be appreciated.... am I doing something wrong?

stuff like that must be "bought" with renown and if you have enough make sure you finish the transaction so you get it


if your getting a new boat you should wait untill you have confirmed you have the new boat then try upgrades, you wouldnt want to upgrade the old boat by mistake only to be transfered to the new boat when you leave port

Thanks for the advice...yes I thought the same. I have tried to start the mission again for the 3rd time with the new upgrades and suddenly they appeared! This game is so wierd and buggy!

Somewhat on topic...

I just finished a mission and was told I was given command of a new U-Boat... a type VII C. But errr... I want the B. Anyway we can select a boat of our choice?

I don't believe you CAN pick your own boat! I was simply assigned a "C" - which was fine with me!
ANYWAY, I'm saving my Renown as, first, there's nothing to spend it on other than upgrading my flak guns - which are useless in this game anyway AND, I want to make sure I can jump on the NEW goodies, like radar detection and radar, when they come along. If the, "price" is anything like it was in previous incarnations of SH, you'll need every bit of "Renown" you've accumulated!
