I can't get past the voice overs!
 

Is it just me or is anyone completely annoyed by the lack of conviction and enthusiasmin in the voice overs (ship crew)? Don't get me started on the intro movie which is down right laughable! They sound absolutely terrible. Does this bother anyone else as bad as it does me?

Also, is there a way to mod them?

If you hate the voice overs in sh-5 try ArmaII . Its even worse but its still a good game. Esspecially with all the mods.

Agreed, the english voice was hilararious, specially the captain sounded like some kids storyteller, luckily the german is much better and was easy to write over the english.

Yea well, youd probably enjoy the bug i have going right now in my current game...

Their voices are stuck on the excited tone for when they are stressed. So now they are freaking yelling all the time over even the most basic stuff...

you wouldnt believe how damn annoying that is.... its like calm...nothing around....seas are good.....i order a course change and its like AHHHHHHHH!!!@ YESSSS CAPTION BEARING AHHHHH!!!!

I think I will try playing in German instead and see how that sounds. Maybe a little harder to understand (though I am sure I'll figure it out) but It's got to be better than english!

Yeah, I swapped the voices file out for the german language and it's way better. I'm sure it's bad acting in german too, but fortunately I wouldn't know :)

I did notice however that the voice actors are the same for German and english....... seems like a bad choice.

The German acting is quite alright, had a Crew a conversation with Josef and he went mad because of various things wich i wont spoil :)
