What a Strange Feeling (It Was)
Think of this as sort of what you might hear if you went to an AA meeting. It might help some of you who want to be true to your principles but find it difficult to resist the urges of temptation.
Hi everyone. I had to go to Best Buy today to pick up a new power strip for my computer workstation. While I was there I visited the software section and there on the shelf was a copy of Silent Hunter 5 and Bioshock 2; both of which use the new "constant internet connection" DRM. I picked both of them up and looked at the boxes and then returned them to the shelf. I paid for the power strip and left the store. It felt so strange not buying the two games. But I will not support this DRM crap. I bet Far Cry 3 will have it too and I won't buy that either as incredible as Far Cry 2 has been for me. So stick to your guns people and vote with your wallet. This is the only voice you have and only one opportunity to make it count. Once you cross the line it's lost forever. |
Congratulations are in order, you've taken the first step to a new you!

Well congrats Scrapser for you moral fortitude and everything, but I seriously hope we're not going to get one of these threads everytime someone 'sees the game, but doesn't buy it' because the forum is being churned a lot with threads, without this type of thread becoming a mainstay. We don't want to know when people don't do anything. That's not reporting news that didn't happen.

Will your wife/gf/significant other be going back to the store later though? :hmmm:

See how utterly boring it gets really quickly? |
A quick update: I still haven't eaten my own spleen and don't plan on doing so in the near future.
|
I suppose some people might find the "Well...my GF bought the game for me...and...uh, yeah, it's awesomeness!" threads entertaining and useful in some way (no idea how), but personally I'd rather watch paint dry. It's just as boring, and just as pointless, unless they are going to give us some useful information regarding the game itself.

Oh Damn, it turns out that my wife, or husband, or girlfriend, or boyfriend thought that I really wanted to eat my own spleen, despite living with me and knowing how much I was publically against eating my own spleen, but in such a way that I would remain blameless for doing it, so they (whoever it was) decided to remove my own spleen and cook it and serve it up to me as a gift card / birthday present / belated Christmas present to save my bluches.
But now, for a quick review of my experience of eating my own spleen. Overall I found the spleem quite juicy, but filled with bile. The bile reminded me of those posts I had read from people who had sworn not to buy the game or play the game in anyway and who had panned the game as being awful without actually playing it. That's a special kind of bile, ladies and gentleman, to hate something so much that you can hate it without actually owning and playing it, just to go off your own frothing and gibbering interpretation of what other people have experienced. Why sane individuals would choose to live a life of frustratuion vicariously through others' bad reviews, I have no idea. I can only conclude that they are not sane. |

Let's pull it back a few notches, okay? This type of posting pattern begets nothing.

Exactly my point. :yeah:

Actually, Nisgeis, I am talking to you. No need for that type of mockery. It is only going to result in problems, okay?
