28th Oct 1939 ! Should This Be ?
 

North of Scotland , taking the long way round to patrol off the south coast of Ireland my watch crew spot Aircraft. So far they have flown close but have not attacked.

Apart from it being early days of the war would there be patrols not only fying out there but at 03:30am in the morning !
