Please please save my crew

It must be there in that thin guide somewhere but I cant find it -----please ,how do I get my watch crew down into the sub when I wish to dive . The diminishing crew are becoming a little disgruntled when I keep losing 3 more guys at every dive.......
Thanks

Wait your losing men?

I just dive with them up there but somehow there already in the boat too.

Diving with crew on watch

When i order a dive -if there are men on watch the order is refused,
There must be way to get watch crew to come down when necessary---Any solutions please--I cant conduct any underwater attacks with this problem..

You yourself must be down the hatch before the boat will dive. That's what is meant by "Crew on deck"

Simple: any time you want to dive, you the player need to get down the hatch, that is all. Then you click on a dive function, the guys on the bridge will "go down the ladder" but it is not shown.

While we're on the subject...

who else is disappointed that the watch crew is not animated going down the hatch into the sub?

Noren 03-06-10 03:06 PM

Im mostly unimpressed by the fact that they are static zombies, I would like some movement during alarm and battlestations.

Ain't it the captain's task to be the last down the stairs ?
If he is on the conning tower that is

The only thing stopping it is the proper animation files. If we had them, it could be scripted like any other crew action. Be clipping nightmare, I'm sure.

I'm not, because the devs said in a Q&A that it wouldn't be animated, so I wasn't looking forward to it.

I'm disappointed that they don't go down at all. My watch crew is on the bridge, no matter if I'm surfaced or submerged.

the watch crew will eventually disappear off the bridge once the submarine is almost at periscope depth (i know they should disappear earlier but meh...) or if you alt-tab they'll remain there no matter if you're surfaced or diving (known bug from SH4)
