[REL] Drifter's Damage Control Screen

Drifter's Damage Control Screen v1.02 for SH5 v1.1

v1.02 changes:

- Added orange highlights to the various compartments on the Type VII cut-away U-boat artwork, showing which compartment is presently selected

- Added selected compartment names for easier identification. Text is at the top left on each screen

- Corrected artwork misalignment on Torpedo screen

v1.01 changes:

- Added Type VII cut-away U-boat artwork to the torpedo screen

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I decided to create this mod because I wasn't really satisfied with the original Star Trek, high-tech look of the originals.

This mod changes the damage control screens and the torpedo screen in-game to the older-style SH3 background, showing highlighted compartments on the Type VII cut-away U-boat artwork. Plus, adds compartment names at the top left of each selected compartment screen for easier identification. Also changed are the equipment information boxes on the damage control screens. I moved these closer together to make reading them quicker and easier.

This mod may or may not work with other mods that change menu or GUI settings. Please use at your own risk.

I see a little bit of a misalignment issue on the torpedo screen. I will try to fix it in the next version.

I don't understand why the devs made the torpedos looking this cartoony. I suppose it can be modded and provided in some kind of 'basic-must have' mod including other stuff.

Very nice, thank you

Cheers,
Paco.

They made it easy to understand for the casual gamer, knowing full well we'd change it to suit us.

Iam not quite sure if this game is for a casual or new gamer to this serie.
The tutorial was not much of tutorial.
if i was complete new to this game and never been playing sh3 or 4 i would have hard time to get into this game.

For me sh5 is not aimed to new crowd, just the old Bernard fans :)

Hi. I was using TheDarkWraith's first release UI. I have now switched over to his latest release. The controls are on the bottom left now.
