No creaking
Ahoy sailors:salute:
Anybody else missing the creaking sounds? Perhaps the sub is made out of titanium steel this time around. No matter how deep I go, there is not a single sound effect hinting of increasing pressure, until the sub is destroyed in a very undramatic fashion. EDIT: Whops, may be moved to bugs thread. |
hey i installed the new das boot sound mod for sh5 and i gots lots of creaking very baddass!!! give it a try:rock:

Thanks mate, but I want to spin this in vanilla for a while before I start modding it up. Otherwise I don't know what is there by default or not. I thought creaking sounds should be part of a subsim by default:o |
I agree i was spending to much time trying to figure out the best way to run this game ie crossfire or not ended up not, that i had already installed around 8 mods so have no idea how the stock sounds performed underwater :haha: this mod communtity is awesome and im sure alot of the sound mods can be moved into sh5 with no problem, as im also running the transatlantic radio mod and works no problem also.

BTW do you know how to turn the wheel in radar and sonar stations? Could be a bug too, cuz it seems I can't do anything with it no matter what:stare: |
I have creaking sounds in my version (gamersgate). They usually appear when I go deeper than 80 meters.
|
Yep, I get creaking sounds too. No sound mods installed.

Sonar wheel turns with mouse wheel for me

I'm not sure but I think I've heard hull creaking at shallow depth in the English channel. What I have heard though is the creaking of a sinking merchant wreck (courtesy of my own torps of course). Way cool.

its still there, i went down to 200m online and its just didnt stop, not sure if the lights still blow whit pressure though
