GWX 3 sounds?

So I've installed GWX 3.

I like the sonar sound, but I think don't like the torpedo impact sound. It sounds like someone dropping a dinner plate. I much prefer the old GWX torpedo impact sound track from Das Boot. How can I get it back?

I love the sound you get with "enhanced damage" when a fireball explodes, though. Sounds awesome.

I installed the Thomsen sound pack 3.2, but can't tell any difference in sounds yet. What does it do?

I dont like the torpedo impact sounds either, the old sound was better. You are right,it DOES sound like somebody has bumped into someone carrying a stack of dinner plates. "Excuse me captain, mind if I just get past you with these din... CRASH!" ...too late :rotfl2:
The other sounds are great though,I particularly like the subtle bubbling effects underwater, and the "alaaaaaaaaaaarm!" sequence is fantastic.

With regard to the 'dinner plate' sound I simply enable this file via JSGME (ignore the title).

Jim,
Not been sarcastic here mate, but isnt that file for depth charges and not torpedo impacts? ;)
EDIT - oh,may be my fault here,it IS a torpedo impact sound file but the author misnamed the file by accident?.
I may get this file,thanks.

As I said in my earlier post Paul "ignore the title" :DL

I knocked it up in 2 minutes whilst in a hurry one night and forgot to give it a suitable title/name
