Soundforge pro 10

Anyone work with this sound editor? When ever i record sound and playback to test it there's a lot of background noise that it ruins the recording. Im just recording off pc not using a mic or anything like that. Found out about the noise reduction plugin but when i go to soundforge site to download it, it tells me plugin already installed! :hmmm:

I used to have version 7 but sold it and purchased Wavelab, shouldn't it be a plugin, been awhile, it was accessible through the manger IIRC, had to drag it to the sound you were working on, if you can't work it out I still have the manual, I could look it up, sorry I can't be of much help, it was a few years ago!

 no problem Reese thanks anyways.

Found out it was stupid media player, i downloaded that freebie ''KM player'' then played the sound using that and recorded it with soundforge and got no background noise.:hmmm: Soundforge didn't seem to like Media Player or other way round.

The biggest thing I liked about Sound Forge was the noise reduction plugin (separate disk), the thing I didn't like is when ever I needed the program it would say it is unregistered & had to redo it, they have very good support but shouldn't have to keep doing it, I have a whole list of activation codes that I kept having to re-enter!! Hope they have improved!!:yep:

Did you ever make changes to your hardware? Soundforge is like installing a copy of retail windows, any changes & its reactivate. I notice with SF 10 it registers my machine ID so i have no doubt any hw changes i will have to activate again.

That will be it, what a pain, Sound Forge itself I think was OK, it was only the noise reduction software.:hmmm: Wavelab is a lot simpler, I like it, but of course it lacked the noise reduction software! Can't have everything!!:yep:
