[REL] Das Boot Sound Mod
 

UPDATE 02.11.2010 to Version 1.05

After a long time I decieded to go back on working on my sound mod. In the past vew month there have been a lot of work been done by a lot of good mod makers. With mods like the NewUIs_TDC and IRAI ByTheDarkWraith. Also the Enviroment Mod in its last working Version. So the extended Map and so on and so on.
So I've decieded to put up a new working and extended Version for my Sound Mod.

- Completlie reworked sounds start with the engine up the hatches, weapons depthcharges and even the footsteps!!
- New speeches
- New music tracks from SH3 and OST Das Boot
- New gramophone tracks!
- reworked sourround sounds with real new enviroment feeling
- corrected german version sound man (Peilung)
- corrected german version XO (Rohr 1!)

Hi,

I've tried to converd my old Sound Mod from SHIII and modified it a bit with the sounds from SH5. It# still only a few sound and the music change. And the speech is only in German. such like persicope detpth or silent running.


I could it only put on rapidshare maybe someone can put it as a file in the download section.

looks like the sound file structures have been changed in SHV.
even though I have a copy of sailor steve's das boot sound mod, I don't know where to put the files in SHV:damn:

I was lucky enough to download it and to be honest all it did was screw up the speach responses, ie, depth under keel the engineer or who ever would speak before but since installing this nothing and honestly dont hear any new speach stuff either, so i uninstalled it to wait for more feed back from others.

What this mod does! It comes with the OST from Das Boot mixed up with the ingame music tracks at that ones from SH3.

Also I change some of the speech sound like Cash Dive Silence running and change of speed. It was only testet on my PC with the German sound version. Maybe it didn't work with the english one.

And this is only just the beginning step by step I will add more origanal Das Boot sound and speech to the Game.

I use the german sound files also, now that you mentioned it when i had this installed none of the telegraph sounds were thier for example when you change your speed settings extreme speed or whatever. Ill look at it again and see what else i can find. but thanks for the work, im thinking thiers something new with the sound system in sh5 though as it has much improved 3d sound.

hmm thats strange I have installed the Mod via JSGME and on my PC it worked. All Sound and music track i've change were played. I used also the Ver. 1.15 so Iv#e checked also the sound files only a few have a sourround sound integrated. And the most of the sounds were handeld like in SH3

OOps my bad i must appologize as i just loaded this back up and did a historical mission and all is working as you intended and sounds awesome, really a nice step to filling in the audio gaps.
Evidently this is a mod that you should apply while in port my bad for not realizing this the excitement got me and shut down the common sense part of the brain. Good work the music fits perfectly too:rock:
