[REL] Dive button depth fix

Hello all,

This little mod removes the tendency for the submarine to automatically level out at 40m when issuing a regular dive command.

Install with JSGME and dive yourself all the way to crush depth! Woohoo! :woot:

 The dive command tells your boat to level off at 40m. Why would you ever just... dive? :)

Periscope Depth Command = 12m
Dive = 40m
Crash Dive = 70m

Because, when I'm captain and I say "dive," I mean dive until I tell you otherwise, dammit!

We can't have these sailors thinking for themselves! :DL

I just want that one guy that's always sleeping to do SOMETHING! :)

I know its a long shot since this is so old but if anyone still has this mod somewhere i would really like to have it.

I dont feel like downloading a huge supermod since it makes my game run poorly.

ohh thats not a big deal, simply edit following cfg files:

\data\Submarine\NSS_Uboat7a\NSS_Uboat7a.cfg
\data\Submarine\NSS_Uboat7b\NSS_Uboat7b.cfg
\data\Submarine\NSS_Uboat7c\NSS_Uboat7c.cfg
\data\Submarine\NSS_Uboat7c41\NSS_Uboat7c41.cfg

...find the entry DiveDepth=40;meters

.....change it to DiveDepth=300;40;meters

i always recommend doing this even if TDW NewUi`s are installed, a dive order is a dive order, and i use the "D" command very often, even if below 40, 100 or 150 meters.

IonicRipper 12-06-11 10:40 PM

Do you mean DiveDepth=300;meters (typo) or really DiveDepth=300;40;meters

Stormfly 12-06-11 11:51 PM

it is no typo, the ";" declares the end of a data line in that cfg file, all behind this sign is ignored by the engine, i keep the original data behind it to renember how stupid it was before, and dont think you are allowed to go to 300 meters :O:

IonicRipper 12-06-11 11:52 PM

:haha: Gotcha

Thanks for the tip! :)
