i know i could probably find this info please forgive me but my eyes hurt this morning and i just want to ask one quick question

Is the voice acting in the english version any good? English in a german accent? Or German with subs an option? Or terrible american defector captain and crew from the preview vid?

I'm not sure if the English voices are any good, I chose the custom option during the install and picked the German voices.

Yes, the english voices are very good actually. Sort of a rough german accent. Reminds me of Number 2's voice from Das Boot.

I installed the game in german and everything was in german so I reintalled in english just to see how bad it was. It's very good actually. The pauses that were in some of the prerelease videos seemed to have been taken care of.

I am going to do a custom install though and select german voices with english text.

Yeah, the voice acting is ok. Generally, it is the duty of every player to criticize the voice acting in a game, much like it is the duty of every person to bad mouth the cafeteria in their building or the US mail. But SH5 voice acting is ok.

It's ok, I hate the upgrade guy in the sub pen though. I wanted German voices with subtitles but couldn't figure out to install them with the Impluse version since it just installs automatically.

It's good enough I've switched over to the English voices for the first time. With this new first person focus, I find I like to play with the GUI off as much as possible. Not being able to read the translations made the switch necessary.

One of the English voice actors is Actor James Woods.

YEAH oh maaaaaaaaan that pisses me right off! I just got it off impulse too and it just auto installs. GRRRRRR im mad. The files are probably there to play with, but i have no idea how/what to do about it.
