Just sank an enemy merchant in the Kiel Canal.

I left Kiel heading out for my patrol, and about 3/4th of the way through it i came across a polish ship heading the same way.

How he got there unscathed i will never know, but it was pretty awesome to gun him down with all the nice scenery around us LOL.

But, i died.

While zipping through the rest of the kanal on TC, it appears i collided with a friendly ship that didn't move out of the way fast enough.

Noooooo!

Keep the updates coming. You guys are making me excited. I know it will have its problems. Seems all the games I buy do so I expect the worst. My first Atlantic Campaign. SH4 was alright but I hated fleet boats so much, don't know why. Liked the U-boats better, and excited to not have to sail a quarter across the planet to get to my patrol zone.

Hopefully downloads open up at midnight, I don't have anything to do tomorrow.

Hated fleetboats? Did you give the mods like TMO and RSRD a try?

Just tried TMO recently. Makes a huge difference. Got rid of those awesome sink 50000 tons of merchant shipping in this area where there is no shipping patrols. I just liked how the U-bout UI was set up for some reason. I haven't played in a long time but I remember being more accurate with the U-boat TDC, if there was any difference, probably all in my head.

That's probably it. Das Boot ruined me. Maybe it is because I was just terrible at the game and all those IJN DC's were too mean for me. I really wish instead of the U-Boat missions they did IJN campaign. I am sure those mean old brits will beat me up too. Maybe I will stay in the Baltic the whole war.
