I need a manual...

The supplied manual is not very informative. So maybe somebody can help me with these questions:
- 1. How do i use the stadimeter properly? I am very unsure now, as I have no info on its use in SH5.
- 2. I am sure I saw something about mast height somewhere (manual targeting). Am I dreaming? And if its there - where did I see it?

Anyway, we should start working on some sort of "community manual" - as the official one is just about the obvious parts. As of now I am feel that there are parts of the game that I do not know about, but I cant be sure because the manual is so short.

And the bugs makes it even worse. First time I was in the bunker, I did not find any guy that could help me upgrade my sub. I thought it was supposed to be like that. And that he would show up later in the campaign. Turns out it was a bug, as I could do it when I loaded the game again.

I was hoping SHV wouldn't fall victim to the trend of pubs/devs downsizing game manuals. How thin on content is it anyway?

The real questions is where to take the range readings from when using the stadimeter, from the tip of the mast, the funnels, or the bridge roof?

So far bridge roofs have worked well for me.

There are no manuals for the modding tools.

Figuring out how to use them will be half the battle.

It's probably just as well as they would have included outdated info from previous versions and mention features that dont exist. :yep:

Call me old-fashioned, but I like a nice, thick, juicy game manual. I miss the days of 80+ pagers. :DL

When I saw this thread, I was 100% sure it was a pirate asking for a download site for a manual:rotfl2:.

FIREWALL 03-01-10 05:36 PM

The pdf manual provided is only fit for asswipe. :haha:

It would not even give you 5 min of reading.

(BTW, the default background of this forum is grey. You have obviously changed it but most have not. Black on grey text is not the easiest thing to read :03:)
