Its English.

What she means is that aspects from both sides can be incorporated into a bill despite one side refusing to vote for it.

It is really not that difficult to understand if you can get out of your democrat-bashing box. :yep:

I can see that Platapus. At least both are listening to each other. I'm really not completely 100% against a healthcare bill. I'm 100% a bill that was thrown together without much thought. The abortion portion is still murky on what is covered and what is not. I'm not sure if the healthcare summit was of any use. At any rate, something will pass.

Platapus 03-01-10 03:01 PM

I agree that the Health Care Summit was more a political stunt than a serious working session. :yep:

And yes a compromise bill will be the bill that passes. The structure of our legislative branch is specifically designed to hinder one side pushing their agenda. I just wish that both the Republicans and the Democrats would sit down in the spirit of compromise and act like adults.

There is a lot that both sides have in common on this issue, I would like the focus to be on that and not just pushing either side's political agendas.

Unfortunately, we DO seem to elect people on the basis of looks far more than brains (e.g., Sarah Palin)

I don't particularly care for Sarah Palin but I think it's kind of ignorant to say that about her.
