shouldnt sh-5 have gone gold by now?

I dont understand. I was under the impression games go gold 2 to 3 weeks before release. How come it still aint gone gold 1 week before release?

Maybe it has, and they just haven't announced it.

Other than that I don't know.

The offline version must be slowing things down.

Maybe they are going entirely digital so they can save money on manufacturing while still charging $50 to rent their game till they turn off the DRM servers. :)

Seafireliv 02-23-10 11:22 AM

Perhaps they`re making panic last minute changes and removing the 24\7 DRM- We can only hope.

kylania 02-23-10 11:24 AM

Supposedly it's coming out in one week, so yeah you'd think they'd have announced it by now. There's essentially only 3 business days left before they'd need to ship to make the March 2nd date.

scrapser 02-23-10 11:37 AM

I don't know about it going gold. I do know it has gone to h*ll.

Time does seem to be getting short in regards to this. To hear the suits at Ubi talk they obviously "believe" in this game so it makes you wonder why it hasn't gone gold yet. What, exactly, is the hold up? Second thoughts, maybe?

There are really not many business days left, as has been pointed out, which becomes something more than a problem for retailers. More typical Ubi hamhandedness....or last minutes signs of corporate panic setting in?

Or is this the smoldering whiff of Cancellation?

To be honest, I think it's just typical Ubi dropping the public relations ball once again. Given their proven track record at fumbling basic corporate messages and auguring business decisions into the ground from 40,000 feet up, this would be no great surprise.

Either way, I still have my popcorn ready for release day. :O:

Perhaps there just running behind schedule?

Probably right. That would be true to form.
