How do I install SH4 2 times
 

How do I install SH4 2 times on the same computer?
I did it with SH3 simply by changing the name of the
First install and installing again?
I want to have one with u-boats and mods
And one with fleet boats and mod’s
Can it be done?
i am using windows 7
and even if i move the first install windows 7 see's it and wants to uninstall it? before i can put another copy on

There is a small utility called MultiSHIV which allows you to have more than one install. I will try to find a link for you.

i have been trying to run u-boat mods
and fleet boat mods
all in one installed game
talk about mix and match

well i used the util
and it changed the save game path
but it still will not let me install
another copy
anyone know what i am doing wrong HELP:damn::damn:
its now 2.08am here now so i am
of to bed before the wife kills me
i will uninstall everything tomorrow
and start again

Copy the entire Silent Hunter folder and rename it, then run multi SH4.

After 5 hours of trying I did it
I now have 2 copies on my computer
At one point I had 4 copies on but only
1 worked than I got 2 on and found
Another one I had renamed and that
Was 3 and then and then
By mistake I deleted my ubisoft folder
And had to start all over again
I could have cried :har::har::har:

I'v bean playing with computers
for 25 years i think i am just getting old
i clicked on the ubisoft folder thinking
it was silent hunter 4 renamed but did
not really look then clicked delete
and thought that folders taking a long
time to delete and went and made myself
a cup of tea then came back and found
2 installs of SH4
1 install of SH3
iL2 and brothers in arms
all gone :eek::eek::eek::wah::wah::wah:

Sounds like you should have made the cup of tea a little bit earlier. :damn::damn:
Only 25 years, well a little more practice is good. :rotfl2:
