Tweaking GWX 3 water transparency?

Is there a specific file or value that I can modify to get a lighter underwater transparency in the game? IMO the GWX 3 sea looks great but I can barely see the boat underwater. I adjusted the transparency value in SH3 Commander to max (20) and it is still too dark...

I have a feeling that this has been asked before but the search function isn't really helping me...

Anyway to get the stock underwater transparency level without resorting to uninstalling GWX?:rotfl2:

There is a good mod for that situation it's called SH-5 Water for GWX 3.0 it's available here.If you want clearer water try one of the scene data files from this mod.

there is a setting in commander which will allow you to change the water opacity. if you want to lighten/darken the color value however, you will need to edit the appropriate values in the EnvColors.dat file which is located in data/env. there is a file for arctic, Atlantic and Mediterranean

You can also do this through S3D:

You should open with Silent 3ditor file scene.dat in Data folder.

Go to node-sky -> EnvData -> EnvData, then to Underwater -> Fog. You will find there values ZMin= and ZMax= these are the values You Should focus on.
