How to cap framerate (fps) ?
My problem is that with my current rig I get too many fps playing SH3.
Usually something around 300-400, which causes the graphics card fan to go much louder than it should (it is a known problem with gtx200 series- generating too many fps causes some small video-out circuit to overheat). Is there any way to cap in-game fps to let's say 125 ? I DO NOT WANT TO USE VSYNC ! With vsync enabled game feels somehow too laggy for me- thats problably because vsync allows only certain fps numbers- in my case at 75 hz its problematic (because next lower number is 25 i guess) so with explosions or when the rig cannot deliver 75fps ot drops to 25. Any suggestions ? Any config command which would cap fps ? |
Jaką masz kartę graficzną? To dziwne...

Just enable vertical sync via the games video options, this locks the fps to your monitors refresh rate, usualy 60Hz (60fps)
Oops, ignore me, didnt see that you didnt want to use vsync, sorry, maybe i`ll read the whole post next time:oops: |

So, my proposition is this: download RivaTuner, and try to adjust fan speed manualy, to make it less noisy. :) |
It's not a graphics card problem- adjusting fan won't change the fact that the game generates too many fps and some chip gets hot...
Any solutions ? |
Hmm, I havent heard of and other than V sync...

does nHancer have frame cap options?
