Greetings from Guangzhou, we are new parents!
 

I said before that my wife and I were trying to adopt a child and we were going through China to do so. Well, after four agonizing years of frustration, our wish has come true! Little Macyn Susan was officially adopted by us 03FEB10 out of Guiyang. She will turn 1 on 11FEB10. :sunny:

Congrats.......babies.....you've had the best part since she's already a year old. The toughest is the first 0-7 months or so. I know I've got a now 15 months old niece. A smart but temperamental baby....you scold her she would scold you back you use higher tone to scold her she would scold you back in higher tone too [and that was when she was less than 6-8 months old]....you give a gesture of spanking her she would now spank you back . . .:nope:

Thanks J, can't see it yet since FB is persona non gratis here. She is a treat to behold. I will give the PRC one thing: they absolutely got it right with matching us up with Macyn. It's the 2nd poorest province in China just above Tibet....no political discussions on that, just relaying what was told to me. She eats like a hog in heat, and her jei jei (Lauren, her older sister) is only 2nd to mah mah.... I am a distant third but I believe that the 10 day beard may have something to do with it, since she is very tactile right now.:har:

Went through a natural one 6 years ago. Lauren was colicky her 3-6 month stage. From 1830-2359 hrs each day was nonstop hell. I am happy we have a healthy girl where we did get to cheat a bit. It's a bit different over here since she is partly potty trained but cannot sit up by herself, let alone crawl yet,
