Track IR question

Is it possible to use TIR to other controls than looking around? I know this'll propably depends of the game, but is there any limitations in the hardware/software of TIR for this?

Say, I have TIR configured in IL2 so I use it to look around, would it be possible to go to the config of IL2 and change the TIR axis' to, say, roll and pitch?

How about games that dont officially support TIR, is there any way to use TIR neverthless? Say, I want to change the normal mouse look to use TIR, so I could use it to change my direction while running in [insert game here].

As I recall it, that is possible, but you may want to get another confirmation to be sure. But you do not have 6DOF then.

5.6 Using the Mouse Emulation utility

5.6.1 Overview

The TrackIR software has been optimized to provide you with the best experience possible, it gives you a simple, yet powerful and highly customizable way to use TrackIR device for in-game view control. Some games however, do not have TrackIR support built in and this is where mouse emulation can be used.

The TIRMouse program provides very basic features and partially relies upon the main TrackIR software application to provide additional customization capability. This program allows you to use the TrackIR in a game that is not TrackIR enhanced.
:hmmm:

Need to have a try on that then. :yep:

Well, it does work with the mouse emulation thing. Tried BF2. :haha:

Downside is that it doesnt work with games that have to be launched thru 3rd party program such as Steam. Would've wanted to use this in AvP3. :wah:
