Found an Error in SH3 Commander
Hey friends;
When I started my career in 1939 through commander, i selected 2nd flotilla, VIIB submarine, U-36. I am right now on december 6, 1939, safely in base. (I was supposed to be historically sunk on the 5th). So then I look up U-36 on uboat.net and discovered that the U-36 was a type VIIA. Just wanted to point that out. |
Why is this an error in SH3 Commander?
The Type VIIA is not modelled in game so the Type VIIB is used instead. |
I was waiting for J.S to find this :haha:

Yeah, I found an "error" in SH3Commander too - it didn't stop my mug of coffee going cold when I was too engrossed in the game to drink it.
Seriously, It never ceases to amaze me the issues people try to blame on his app... |
I'm not actually complaining about it, but i was reading about the U-36 in Clay Blairs volume 1, so I just looked it up. Who would want a ViiA anyways?
Edit: I Apologize if my first comment sounded a bit cruel, but I'm an addict for error. But my coffee never ran cold. |

Toolworx, your mistaken. I have my coffee maker right next to my gaming computer... It physically can't go cold because i have soo much of it at once.

You just have to use a self imposed restriction, as I call them.
The Type VII(A) had an external stern tube, which could not be reloaded at sea. Do not reload your stern tube. Should you accept this simple self imposed restriction, you now have a Type VII(A). Should you find this solution unacceptable, just change the boat number to match a VIIB. You're the boss. (You can do the same thing with the Type IXs. It opens up a-lot of interesting possabilities.) |
