We demand a gameplay movie

Give us a gameplay movie to correct the negative flow of drm

Anything would be nice about now
Screens - vids - even a word from on high at Ubi
But
The silence is deafening

HundertzehnGustav 01-31-10 09:06 AM

we demand?

cool choice of word!:yeah:
we demand the announcement that i can play offline.
keep your screens and remove the chain.
*holds 50 bucks under Ubis nose*

I don't see 'demands' achieving much in the way of a response....a cordial request might carry a little more weight though.

Even steam can be used in offline mode.

DRM is good for the first few months of release but then it should be canned. This online save game idea does not allow that.

If it matters to anyone I've moved from pre-ordering to wait until it's bargain bin. My enthusiasm for this game sunk...

I only wish Enigma rising tide did better. Those guys were true fans of the genre.

After the breach of trust that's happened in these forums, I'd say we are in absolutely no position to "demand" anything.

Platapus 01-31-10 09:52 AM

By game play video, I would want to see the game played at the higher realism settings and show the target tracking, plotting, and manual targeting aspects of the game.

I am not interested in glitzy graphic eye candy! I am interested in how SH5 will simulate the important aspects of submarine control.

It is almost one month before release. I would hope that some developer/tester has played this game, at least a little, on the higher realism levels.

So if we get a 45 min. video of everything on ultra-realistic setting,
but there is still a need for permanent connection,
what's it gonna solve.
People will still beat that poor dead horse no matter what is shown now.

A subsimmer is serving brig time for sending a somewhat provocative PM to a dev, then publishing the devs PM response on the forum.
Very uncool.

No sympathy....PM's are as the title suggests 'PRIVATE'

Yes, "demand" may have been a poor choice of words but at this point I don't care how marvelous SH5 will look or play. I don't support this form of DMR and will not do so again (I did buy RoF) with my wallet. If that means I'll be missing out on all the latest and coolest games I can definitely live with that. I have more than enough right here to keep me happily entertained until I die and voting with my wallet is the only true effective way to clearly get my opinion across to those that can actually change it.
