Radio message TC in SH3 commander?
 

I'm looking for help with something that's been really bugging me. It seems like the TC always drops to x1 when I receive a radio message, despite the option in SH3 commander being set otherwise (I've tried everything from x2 to x1024 which is the maximum TC I use).

Every other TC option seems to work as they should, only the one for radio is "broken" (or am I missing something else?). :hmmm:

I'm running the latest GWX and SH3 commander with the compatibility fix, and no other radio mods, so I doubt anything else is interfering with my radio TC?

I find the radio messages serve no purpose at all other than annoying,so to stop them i do not put radio man on duty;),hence no radio messages.

I quite like them, for the immersion and sense of belonging to a navy (as opposed to being a privateer). If the TC worked it would be perfect. :rock:

IIRC When receive a radio report refers to the intel that pops up on the map and drops you down to 8 or whatever

Open JSGME and disable 'GWX-Fix French'.

...the radio messages are comforting, especially when I get one from my Mum asking me to bring home salami - she always loves a bit of German sausage.

Grey Wolf had same idea as me - the radio messages are basically useless except for flavour. I usually like to have the radioman on duty however, so I set my TC to go to max with one hit - so I can quickly check the mail 'M' and then jump straight back into full TC without smashing my '+' key all the time. I usually leave the messages to build up for an hour or two in busy periods.

Can't remember where I saw this but thanks to whoever gave me this - I have it printed out on my desk, but I forgot who gave me it sorry!

Go to (C:\programs\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Cfg\Comm ands_en.cfg. Open with Notepad.

Scroll to [Cmd5], and add

Key1=0x6A,R,"Npad *"

So it reads thus

[Cmd5]
Name=Time_compr_increase
Ctxt=1,2,6,9
MnId=0x3F010001
Key0=0x6B,,"Npad +"
Key1=0x6A,R,"Npad *"

Save the changes. This should make it go to full TC with one hit.
