Take your time UBI
Anyone else agree that UBI should take their time developing future SH titles? From what I read SH 3 took five years to develop, but SH 4 took two and SH 5 roughly three years.
Well I never played SH 3 but heard it had a few issues but not as many as stock SH 4.SH 4 while great, could tell it was rushed due to many glaring omissions, bugs etc Luckily, we have an awseome community and modders corrected the biggest issues and many small ones.Besides this DRM debacle, I am wondering how man bugs etc SH 5 will have because its been rushed, SH 4 was out in 2007 I believe, now 5 will be out in first quarter of this year. I understand business and deadlines etc but UBI really should take their time and make an outstanding quality product that in the end will have less issues because they took their time. Same concept as many things in life.Want a great meal? Usually takes time to prepare and cook.Same thing. |
Not sure if they will ever produce another sim....after the roasting they are getting with SH5 :yep:
I personally hope they stick around and keep producing sub sims, let's face it, they are the only ones around (at the moment).....i don't see any other devs jumping in line to either take over the mantle ie competition or otherwise...... And answering your question "directly", yes.....it takes time to "produce" something. I think it would be unrealistic to put numbers on that time frame though, since there are so many factors involved in producing a game....... My thoughts/opinions, for what they are worth..... |

I suspect that UBISoft wants to move to a console only media and that a poor selling SH5 will provide the excuse to make that commercially viable allowing then to move to console only game format.
People should stop taking this as some sort of personal affront. The target audience for SHV is the 14-22 demographic with too much cash and no concerns with regards to privacy issues raised by the OSP being online 24/7 is natural for them and so the OSP caters to the big-bucks audience |
