Mods this Kaleun Should put on
 
Hey all my friends and peoples,
I just have a quick question.
What Mods should i use with SH3 Commander and GWX 3.0 Gold? Because on my old computer I never risked more than 10 of the GWX mods because of how weak of an excuse of a comp I used to have, but now i have a 500Gig hard drive and a 1660 1024 megabyte graphics card, so I can actually play the game to its Max.

Here is a snapshot of what my son had on his install before he went back to sea (in RL) a fortnight ago.

One or two of the mods have since been updated.

with JSGME and a big hard-disk it's easy to answer your question:
download all you think they are useable.
and enable one at a time until you found what's your liking.
don't forget to disable those you don't like or cause you problems. :03:

I kinda just want personal mods, like ones you guys feel enhance the games. I'd rather take advice from you great people than my own corrupted conscience.


EDIT: Sorry if I sound picky, i just apologize. And, if possible, can I have links towards what I should throw on to make this the best-est game ever.

just visit the download section and choose from the different sections:
graphics
audio
gameplay

I for one can tell I don't need much more than GWX3-supermod, WB's "Decks awash and fuel-management" and Melendir's "No ring-ring"
that's all I've got.

I really like Hitman's Optics mod. OLC 1.2.7 is excellent as well.

Hitman's mod has very realistic periscope views. I don't even bother looking at the ship recognition manual anymore (except for when I need to use the fixed wire method to get a precise speed of a ship – always handy to have some paper around for that!), I've gotten so good with just rangefinding using the attack scope hash marks (it's even easier with the observation scope marks). There is no stadimeter in his mod.

I also use:
A ton of the GWX package mods
Torpedo damage Final
Lifeboats and debris
Real depth charge
Realistic torpedo
WB Fuel efficiency / decks awash
Das Boot clothes
No medals / rank on officers
Pisces' mod for having protractors available on all navigation tools
and several more, but those are some of my favourites.
