[WIP] New Attack Submarine

I am working on a new kinda nuclear powered sub, she`s named the Hercules. The Hercules has the role of the SSGN and SSN. SS(G)N
I have uploaded the V1.0

If there`s any bugs then notify me.

Depends upon the look and feel of it I'd say. So can't help with the boat naming yet.

It`s a crossover between the Los Angeles and Ohio class.

Got a model yet?

Karle94 01-28-10 04:30 PM

Better. I already have it in game.

Wow, it looks a lot like some of the early US SSBN's. If I were you I'd try to go that route and see if you could make those.

She's a beaut that's for sure,

Kind of reminds me of the Le Terrible mod..

For naming it depends on which 'nation' she belongs to >< If US I can't help you there, the general naming conventions don't apply to hybrid SSBN/SSNs :nope:

It looks almost like the Washington Class of SSBN's, except there is no space between the front and back half of missile tubes.

I was on the Lincoln (SSBN602).

There was also a hatch just aft of the missile tubes on the Turtleback, as well as the escape hatch that you have shown.

Man, I swear every week another bubblehead pokes his head out. :haha:

Sledgehammer427 01-28-10 11:26 PM

I was going to say it looks kinda like a Washington. I swear they are a bit bigger than that though :O:

EDIT: as for naming her. we have always named our (newer) SSBN's after states (other than the one the battleships already took) and our SSN's after big cities. Older ones were named after defining figures in american history if memory serves me right.

Perhaps start a class with the names of mythical figures?
Thor
Mars
Neptune
etc

Mythical figures is a good idea. I kinda like the names of the norse gods.
