What's your favorite ship in the game.
Really probably 100 ships with mods. I can't decide which one I like best. I love the lines of the CA's. This is probably my fav. Won't give it away, take a guess, but the emblem should give it away.

This Kind :D

I like the Large Modern tanker...
10,000 tons of pure....well...tonnage :03: But seriously I've always been a fan of Destroyers. (I hope I don't catch too much flak for saying that :dead:) The Clemson and Fletcher classes come to mind off the bat, but really I like them all. They were probably the most versatile ships of the war. Imagine, 5+ deck guns, 5+ AA guns, 5-12 torpedo tubes, depth charges, and a max speed of 35-40 knots, all at the expense of being able to slip beneath the waves...what a force! Of course they don't measure up to cruisers or battleships, but those were like floating howitzers :O: |
Second that, mello. Destroyer commanders were almost always young men, probably chosen to have a lunatic streak.
Imagine being an invincible 25 year old in charge of a 40mph all weather racing speedboat weighing 1500tons, bristling with all manner of destructive toys, a couple hundred willing servants, and being told "Well it looks like a fine morning. Why dont you take your ship down the bonny Firth of Forth at full speed and see if you cant bag yourself the Bismark. Full speed mind!" Must have been fantastic, some days. |
If you like the large oil tanker, this is even better..should be the biggest merchant..Large modern freighter..think it's in RSRD, but there is a seperate mod for it, installs fine with RSRD. 11K tons

my favorite playble ship if you mean right? well they are fuso ise before conversion kongo and maya:D
|
Mine favourite is the Large Old Passenger Carrier, and the Conte Verde.. I don't like battleships because they are very armored and a salvo of 6 often never finished the job. Aircraft carriers are a rarity.
I also like the Large Freighters and Tankers, with the exception of small versions, which often confuse me. As for loving some ships, well, I love the Flower Corvette, the Clemson, the Fletcher, and the Fubuki destroyers.. I don't know if Buckley klasse is portrayed in game (been two or three years since playing UBM), but that too is eye candy. Good question btw... |
To sail... Definitely any one of the destroyers. I love the speed and maneuverability.
To sink - any of the big capitol ships. I love the feeling of accomplishment I get from taking out a big carrier or battleship. Like when I sank The Yamato and the Musashi in 1 patrol. |

I must say I do like the lines of the Japanese battleships - Fuso, Ise before the conversion, Kongo too. Lexington Class Battlecruiser is a favourite of mine now too even though it's still WIP. That there's a good looking ship :) |
Gee, I never really gave much thought to the idea of favorite ships. It does appear that some ships are endowed with more structural details than others, especially at closer range where other ship's details blur or wash-out. I suppose the Furutaka might be one of the finer detailed ships as are some of the DDs (don't recall exactly which ones off-hand). The Takaos are pretty good too.:hmmm: I can't say for sure though (at the moment) which one is my favorite. Maybe the Mogamis?http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/s...onfused005.gif
