I found this very cool.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1hsDn2kNriI Nice watch. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nq0KN...video_response and borders of europe..1590 to 2006. |
Looks a bit like the review function of the old Civ games :DL
Nice link  |
Awesome link. Well found.
It seems strange that most of the battles take place in Europe up until the late 1500s when Asia gets a handful and then battles commence in America. I suspect that a large part of this is down to historical records. After all, it was incredibly likely that America had its own share of battles between the natives before the colonists showed up. The First and Second World Wars are pretty dramatic in their appearance. Like in reality, there was no other time of battle like them. I like the 'To be continued...' at the end, that's a dead cert. :damn: |
Nice, even though it seems to miss a couple of important European battles too, like Lützen and Blenheim.
|
That "to be continued" is oddly appropriate... more like disturbing, actually. :-?

I can't seem to see it either. :hmmm:

Yup, also much of post-1914 WWI (Either that or I can't spot it), most of the Russian Civil War and the Six-Day War are missing.
|
The Napolenonic and Thirty-Years wars were fairly easy to spot as well.
EDIT: The borders one is interesting too. There go the Ottomans. |
World War II made me lol. That's a whole bunch of explosions...:O:
