Wide screen and higher resolution
I most be missing something I used Jones installer for the mod widescreen_SH3_v1 and its seem not have worked. Is there someplace the values can be checked.
Do a need to run the higher resolution mod with this for it to work? I used the SH3_XPSP2_Res_Fix_for_1.4b as well but dont know how to change the resolution? Any help would be great. |
Problem here too, new monitor but having to run SH3 in a window as the widescreen can make ship/flag identification difficult as it stretches them.
|
I'm not sure but I think the resolution can be changed in data/cfg/main.cfg file where it says "Resolution=1024 x 800" :hmmm:

Also, does anyone even know if the "SH3_XPSP2_Res_Fix_for_1.4b" file would even work for those of us running Windows 7?I would guess not given that it specifies the OS the fix is for, and I'm loathe to experiment in case it breaks my game. |
Just tried SH3_XPSP2_Res_Fix_for_1.4b, change resolution to my 1280*800, but it didn't make much difference, except made the scale in nav map look very weird, so I changed it back.
You don't need to worry about it break your game, since it can be easily uninstalled as in my case. |
It will work just fine
:) Hi everyone :)
The res fix will work just fine in Win7:yep: |
Hmm by the way....
:) Hi again :)
Turn your resolution down to 1024x768 then it will work and yes , you can go to : data\cfg\main In the Main file you can fix the res , and be sure to go in to "my documents" and look for the folder named : "SH3" and look for "Main" and BE SURE you have the same resolution in SH3folder as you have in SH3 directory . But it is very very important that you run the game in 1024x768 in Windows7 :yep: Good luck:salute: |

Dear folks,
I've tried everything that was suggested in this thread - no chance! Perhaps x64 is the problem... |
