will the life on the boat will be like in the trailer?
What do you guys think. I loved the trailer. Walking around the boat, everyone minding their own business. I saw sleeping, playing, writing, reading and drinking.
But.. but ... but.. the last gameplay video made a little concern. I did not see that life in the boat like it was on trailer. To me it just seems guys standing at their post, or standing still somewhere with couple of animation slapped on. It is jut like SH4 only you have more rooms to see guys doing their animation. So all the time we made those stupid jokes about the chef offering us the soup. I fear that no one is going to offer that soup for us anyway. :wah: |
Now this a very intersting question i'm wondering a lot about...
I totally fear that despite the fact that the last trailer advertise it as "real time ingame footage", I'm very aware that in most trailers, it is often more or so "lying advertising" ;) I fear you'll have to understand "real time demo using the rendering engine", and by demo, understand "specialy scripted sequence made for trailer"... I highly doubt the game will showcase this much living animation... Right from the start, my concerns has always been that it would be standing still crew with 2 or 3 animations looping forever, much like in sh3 or sh4... If it was like in the trailer though, man it would rocks!!! But my guess: don't count on it. And my second guess: don't expect the devs to answer this too much intersting question... Asking such a question is irresponsible!!! :stare: As answering it might lead to too much happyness and the risk of selling more copies of SH5!!! rather ask: "Are the health bars contrast and opacity going to be scalable in the option menu?", this they answer to since it's of no interest :know: Or ask directly your question at this mail: SH5_Marketing_Manager @ Bucharest_Psychiatric_Hospital . com this guy...knows his work... :haha: |
I certainly hope so. Maybe they've implented few different animation states for the crew. You know, like the sounds are, all clear = crew doing stuff around the boat, enemy nearby = crew on battlestations etc. :hmmm:
The crew interaction and the living boat has been so big marketing thingy for SHV that it would feel pretty cheap for the devs to go back to how it is in SHIII & SHIV. |
I believe it is exactly as you see in the trailer.

Wise words from kapitan_zur_see, I believe. :03:
Very unfortunately ! :stare: :wah: :wah: :wah: :wah: :wah: :wah: :wah: :wah: |
So let's recap. People wanted the ability to walk through the whole boat, even though that adds zip to the actual gameplay and mission of a U-boat. They get that. Now before the game is even released and all people have to go on is less than 10 seconds of actual in game footage of walking throughout the boat, they're complaining that what they get isn't good enough?
I think people need another hobby and to stop over-analyzing every bit of video Ubi has put out. |
@ Mookie : I enjoy being one of the few who complain of what we can roughly expect from the game, before everyone else does once the game is released. :rotfl2:

I.
Don't. Know. Or, to put it another way: I have no clue. I'm too busy speculating about other aspects to indulge in that one. |

Was anyone ever able to mod the crew movements in SH3 or Sh4? If the animations are crackable or the voice scripts are then it will be OK down the line and not just boring after a day or two.

i think the first trailer was pure fantasy land of "this is what we want it to be like", then the last trailer is the real truth and now you are seeing what they were actually able to do with the game. |
