Yes, there are ways to edit your renown. I forget exactly how to do it, but as I remember it's fairly easy.

Or you can just begin a new career in a Type IX. That's the very easiest.

All you have to do to raise your renown is open up the file "patrols_0", located under your commander name in "my doc" - sh3 - data - cfg - Careers - "commander name". Oune you open up "patrols_0", (with notepad), scroll to the bottom of the file and find "delta renown". Just change and save!

I'm pretty sure thats how, havn't done it in a while, so make a back up before you try it. but, I'm about 99% sure thats how its done.

oh, and be in base when you do it, being sure o to open up the most recent save file.
