What was the coolest thing you did in 2009?

For me, it was the Copenhagen Subsim meet, with all the guys and Peter Madsen.

Hmmm

Meeting Jay Kay was pretty cool, he seemed a nice bloke, although he probably regretted going to the other hotel in our town the next week and getting his car smashed in by an angry chef :hmmm:

Lowestoft Air Show was also very cool, had a good look around at some British army kit, brought some gear in order to help the Vulcan keep flying and watched some fantastic flypasts by Dutch F-16s, USAF KC-135 and French Alphajet, as well as our own Lynx, Westland Apache, BBMF and other fantastic aircraft.

Doing the annual London trip and visiting several excellant venues, including the Royal Artillery Museum at Woolwich.

I think that's about it really :hmmm:

Deciding to prioritize my life and start working with animal rescue organizations. I have never felt so good about something. :yeah:

Ah several things!

The trip to Europe was awesome, as well as playing Silent Hunter 4 with Neal, UnderSeaLcpl, Mookie, and nikimcbee inside the Cavalla.

Both I talk about still to this day :yeah:

I'm really blanking. I don't think I really did anything particularly cool this past year. :nope:

Taking my youngest daughter to WW2 Weekend in PA. We had a wonderful day. Inquisitive kids with a mind to learn is always a cool thing no matter what the year. She loved it. Planning it again in 2010. :yeah:

The Copenhagen meet, getting to know some of the Subsim guys and sailing onboard Peter Madsens excellent u-boat Nautilus.:salute:

Going on a drinking binge through Europe and visiting the Deutche Panzer Museum.

Wishing it away moments before midnight on New Years Eve....

1) August, finally reaching the sommet of a mountain in France, which I had to give up on many years ago. Next project perhaps.... Mont Blanc :hmmm:
2) September, subsim meet & getting a (3 minute short periscope depth) ride in UC3 Nautilus - I had really hoped to go really down completely like the rest of you...
@ McBeck - We need to arrange something with Peter Madsen in the summer time... :03:

Designing and overseeing construction of a "Translational Science Lab".

Soon, the College of Medicine will be launching a translational science initiative with the potential to involve more than 1,300 physicians across Florida, along with their 1.5 million patients.

That and the massive electron microscope we designed as well.

I can only hope of seeing projects like this in 2010

Taking a shower in March while the hot water in the house was under repair for two days.

Very cool indeed.
