Looks like they were being cheap with explosives. No where near enough on that building to bring it straight down (heck the one that toppled over was still mostly intact, and the leaning part was hardly damaged).

Demolition of a building is not an easy task. Demolition engineers spend weeks examining and preparing buildings. To be able to drop a building straight down is more art than science at times.

Looks like someone failed to keep they're powder dry :DL
