Seperate Install?

Guess a quick question, I have not played SH4 in a while.

I have RFB and OM/Omegu

What I want to do is create a seperate install of SH4 so I can run RFB and OM on one and OM/Omegu on the other.

Is it as simple as copy paste all the files to a new folder in the SH4 base folder or is there more I need to do

Thank you.

For e.g sh3 can you be more clear about a twin install off the game in the hard disk......:)

Does anyone know how to get this to work w/o the unknown filemanager.dll error to activate.

I did get this to work with the 1.1 version but when i installed everything up to the 1.5 version I got the error. Read the readme, did everything as it said, but there is no solution that i can find.

Thank you

Short and quick way to do it:

1. Create a Folder for new install, name it what ever you want. I used RFB1_5 for RFB with SH4 version 1.5, RFB1_4 for RFB SH version 1.4.
2. Copy and paste your current version into the Folder you just created.
3. Copy MultiSH4 into the root folder of your new copy. Run the program, you will then enter a 3 character name that will be your save game folder in you "My Documents" folder.
4. Copy JSGME into your root folder of the folder you created. Run once to create a "Mods" folder to put your mods into.
5. You are ready to install your mods into you new version of the game.

Good Luck! Have Fun!!

Thats what I did,

Installed Sh4 w/ 1.5 patch
Made new folder named "SH4 RFB_RSRDC_OM'
Copied current (stock) install to RFB.. install
Ran Multish4 and I got that Filemanage.dll error, I never put Jones Soft in there yet or made a mods folder.

It was a stock install in the new folder that I created.:06:

I don't have any ideas, I got it to work with v1.1 Sh4 but no others, I know in the past i had it working with v1.5 (before I reformatted my PC), maybe I'll just forget about using Multish4 and save them all in the stock save folder and put the mod after the save game name.

You picked up the wrong version of MultiSH4, when SH4 moved to UBM 1.5 the MultiSH4 no longer worked and a new version was issued. I have one at home and can send it to you or upload to file front. It maybe on the Subsim files page take a peek there.

Happy Hunting!
