First Person View Questions
 

I've been watching SH5 here and there, which means I'm not always up to date on all the latest news about it. I know there is going to be a FPS like view going on, but don't know all the details on it. I hope someone can answer these questions. That is if there are answers available for them.

1. I assume you can walk on the conning tower, but what about the deck of the boat?

2. Can you enter the water around the sub?

3. Can you die from Hazards in FPS? Such as being on the deck when an enemy Airplane strafes the sub. Or If you walk into a fire that's happening below deck.

4. Will there be fast warps like in the previous SH's where you could go from Captains room to the Deck gun in a second?

2 hmm, dosnet specify... I dont think so...

3 I hope so, but it hasnt been confermed by the devs...

4 I dont remember, but I think there will be the option...

My mates , brothers , auntys , stepfathers , friends uncles cousin who is a dev said that if you are on the deck and you come under attack the sub cannot dive .

That makes sense. That will also prevent it from auto warping you inside if you order a Crash Dive while on deck.

also at UBI forums i saw Devs answer, that you can move free on and in your ship, and that you shouldnt often go "sunbathing" on farthest end of deck then surfaced, becouse if your boat gonna be surprisingy attacked from Air, you can not "make it" to go all way to the caning tower to hide in your shipsor :D

Q:How much freedom will we be seeing/getting? Are we able to navigate from the rear torpedo room all the way to the forward torpedo room seamlessly or will it be more like SHIV, click on a ladder/door/hatch to enter the next submarine section?

A:The player will have full access everywhere inside the submarine. Just like in any other first person game and just like a real captain had. But remember, you’re not just a camera, you’re the captain. Don’t go sunbathing on the fore deck or you’ll have a long way to go to that conning tower hatch before the sub can dive!

can we jump into a dive suit to fix the props

You can also grab a MP40, go on enemy shores and conduct raiding missions:yep:

And grab that Luger and shoot Johann when he freaks out.:dead:

You can even take on the first person medic role on the u-boat and check the whole crew for pubic lice!

Well if fps gives us sailors that can actually get hurt then that would be better than what was in sh3/4 .

Wow! Finally I can live out the Commando raid as depicted in the most realistic submarine movie of all time - "Crash Dive"!

Loved the PT-boats at the beginning though!

I got a question too，can i walk faster in FPS view？i think its a little slow when you climbing down that lader，i wish i could just jump down。
