I think it has more to do with the lighting.
His face blends too much with the background. I would encourage him to try the same experiment again, only this time, place a majority of the lighting BEHIND the camera, not in front of it. |

I thought it was funny too and absolutly took it that way.
I'm sure the couple knew they could make it work but the mere fact they could make it not work was you tube worth. Rest is history ;) |
