This is one part of the game that I've never seen any info on.
The 'Recording' feature of a saved game - a few questions..

1) How far back from the save point does the recording extend ?
2) Will a recording extend uniformly across different mods/game settings ?

If you mean 'save replay' then to the start of the patrol I believe. It's been a long time since I used it though.

Same rules for using saved games I would imagine. If your sub's weapons systems change or if your crew stations change the game will probably explode. If things that are restored upon loading aren't affected by the mod then you'd probably be alright. In no way uniform :-).
