Torpedo Active Passive ?
 

I stooge around with the P-3 most of the time. I can work all the systems pretty well. I hope to move on to the Frigate's soon.
I usually set the torpedos to run on a bearing when I am making my attack run. I usually drop at 1.0-1.5 miles from my last MAD/SAD hit.
Most often I trangle 3 DIFAR's and get MAD-SAD hits. I dont usually use ACTIVE DICASS.

What guideline do I use for setting the Mk-46 torpedos ACTIVE-PASSIVE setting ?
I know what the settings do, I just need to know when I need to use active or passive ?

I get kills both ways, but I just want to do this the "navy" way. Thanks to any and all who can help.
