When the Meijer near me cleared the backpacks, notebooks, etc., out of the special "back to school" section of their store back around Labor Day, they started restocking the empty aisles with Christmas stuff in addition to the usual Halloween items.

"Christmas Creep" = IMO.

Excuse me I did not know I was suppose to wait until Christmas Eve.

@frau kaleun, if that "Christmas Creep" was meant for me then maybe your looking for a lump of coal beneath your tree, eh?

Although I started this thread hoping to start spreading a little Christmas spirit all I get is the "Hum-Bug" people.

Merry Christmas ( even if early ) to you all anyway.

Uh, no, absolutely not meant for you, was in response to post immediately prior about retailers who start pushing Christmas/Hannukah/etc. stuff before we've had a chance to enjoy and get past all the autumn holidays.

IMO it's impossible to call something "Christmas creep" once you're past Thanksgiving. :DL

No offence meant, I was just a bit surprised to see a merry Christmas in eraly December.:DL

I once saw a cartoon in a newspaper. It was December 26. The picture was of a store window, with a sign that said "Only 364 more shopping days until Christmas!"
