Grid zone "O " ??????
 

Guys this has happened 3 or 4 times every time I go to 29th Flotilla and go to La Spezia I get assigened to grid zone O I can't find that anywhere on the map and there- fore can not fufill my mission can anyone help? is it a bug? I have ver 1.4 and Commander.

It's a known SHIII bug. I can;t remember the exact cause but I find going back to the previous save works to fix it.

Try sailing to Bermuda Triangle or the one near Indian Ocean.
You may be teleported to that O grid. You never know! :haha:

This is caused when SH3 cannot obtain a valid grid from Flotilla.cfg (usually because no grid exists for the current career date). Stock Flotilla.cfg is littered with such omissions. I rewrote the file from scratch when I built it for GWX.

Avoid the Med?
 

Guys thanks for your responses about the bug Grid "O". Does this mean that I will encounter this problem on every Med career and misssion. I played one out and came back to base and was not able to meet patrol requirements and was asssigned my next mission to the same unfindable patrol zone unless some tells me different I will avoid Med baseing. Is this the correct stance? Remember I have ver 1.4 and Commander

I would really recommend downloading GWX or another mod which has reworked the mediterranean campaign. As JScones said, this problem will be solved and I can guarantee you will have much more fun!

Furthermore, I think GWX removes the renown for reaching patrol grids, so you don't have to go to them anyway.

I can't remember stock that well now, but I think it lasts a month. That is, it should correct when your career progresses to the next month...I think (it may be two months - I do recall the problem, I just can't remember the exact details now).
